VOCES DISTANTES ¡AQUÍ! es un trabajo colectivo, entre artistas y habitantes, cediendo protagonismo a quienes viven en el lugar, para la reelaboración del mapa-territorio dotado de contenidos testimoniales que haga visible la existencia de una identidad cultural que algunos pretenden que sea borrada del mapa. El proyecto, que se articula en cuatro partes, propone en primer lugar la construcción de una artefacto volador, basado en los principios del elevamiento por energía solar, con el fin de obtener grabaciones cenitales desde el aire de las acciones que se desarrollen en tierra. Posteriormente se elaborarán testimonios a través de dibujos individuales o colectivos en la arena, grabaciones de audio y de vídeo. Todo el material se ubicará en google maps para redibujar la cartografía y se extenderá hacia un nuevo blog que ayudará a prolongar unas voces que están siendo silenciadas.

TÍTULO DEL PROYECTO: VOCES DISTANTES ¡AQUÍ!
El proyecto ! VOCES DISTANTES ¡AQUÍ! nace a partir de una primera consulta en google maps que efectuamos para ubicarnos en el lugar (Tifariti) desde la distancia. Para nuestra sorpresa, el mapa virtual se mostraba socialmente en analogía con el área geográfico que representa; es decir, desértico, privado de información sobre habitantes y lugares.
De ahí que enfocamos el proyecto hacia la (re)elaboración del mapa-territorio con la voluntad de dotarlo con contenidos testimoniales y con la idea de hacer visible la existencia de una identidad cultural que algunos pretenden que sea borrada del mapa, intentando silenciar las voces plurales de todo un pueblo.
El proyecto se plantea como un trabajo colectivo, entre artistas y habitantes, cediendo protagonismo a quienes viven en el lugar.
El proyecto se articulará en cuatro partes que se desarrollarán de forma simultánea:
1.CONSTRUCCIÓN DE UN ARTEFACTO VOLADOR
El proyecto propone la construcción de una artefacto volador, basado en los principios del elevamiento por energía solar con el fin de obtener grabaciones cenitales desde el aire de las acciones que se desarrollaren en tierra.
Optamos por la elaboración de una estructura alimentada con energía alternativa,adaptándola a las condiciones del lugar y los recursos disponibles.
La estructura volante solar será diseñada de tal manera que será capaz de elevar un cámara de vídeo ligera que permita realizar tomas cenitales de las actividades testimoniales que se desarrollan en tierra.
Las grabaciones que se obtienen, tras ser editadas, pasarán a formar parte del patrimonio cultural de Tifariti. Por otro lado, estos testimonios se utilizarán para (re)elaborar un mapa testimonial de la zona. Vea 3ª parte del proyecto.
2.PRODUCCIÓN COLECTIVA DE MENSAJES
Se trata de recoger los testimonios de la gente del lugar a modo de recopilación de microrelatos: reunir la expresión de deseos, sueños y necesidades de personas con nombres y apellidos, a través de sus propias expresiones orales, escritas y visuales y difundirlos. Esto puede abarcar un amplio espectro de matices, desde la reivindicación hasta lo puramente lúdico.
El contenido de estos testimonio no puede, ni debe de ser previsto antes de iniciar el proyecto, con la voluntad de dar voz y protagonismo a los habitantes de Tifariti, renunciando a representaciones de una visón estereotipada y distante.
La elaboración de los testimonio se desarrollará en tres niveles:
1. Dibujos individuales o colectivos en la tierra.
2. Grabaciones audio: Conversaciones/Entrevistas.
3. Grabaciones vídeo: Conversaciones/Entrevistas.
Además de las grabaciones mencionadas, se realizarán tomas fotográficas, cuyas imágenes finales pasarán a formar parte de del patrimonio cultural de
Tifariti.
3. ELABORACIÓN DE UN MAPA TESTIMONIAL
Esta parte del proyecto se propone (re)dibujar la cartografía a base de testimonios.
Se trata de aportar contenidos socioculturales específicos al paisaje desértico cuya representación en los mapas disponible en internet es equiparable a un área vacía.
Se recreará el mapa de la zona con ayuda de las imágenes tomadas desde el globo.
Los testimonios grabados con tomas cenitales, así como los documentos audio
se ubicarán en googles maps. Habrán tantos puntos ampliables como testimonios.
El uso de una herramienta preestablecida como google maps nos parece importante para poner en evidencia y subrayar el desinterés general hacia la representación de aquellos territorios que no son valorados económica, cultural y políticamente, y que por tanto permanecen invisibles.
La intención de este proyecto sería contribuir a hacer visible Tifariti.
4. EXTENSIÓN DEL PROYECTO HACIA LA WEB: BLOG
Es importante vincular el proyecto a un blog para permitir visualizar y compartir una realidad cotidiana de los habitantes de Tifariti más allá del territorio que habitan. Se trataría de hacer presente la periferia en eso otros lugares considerados “centros de interés”.
Afín a las ideas expuestas recientemente en una conferencia de Andrea Giunta en el CENDEAC (Murcia), se trata de extender las nociones del desarraigo y del desplazamiento forzosos a conceptos que las vinculan a las nuevas tecnologías, entendiendo estas como un nuevo territorio. La conferenciante hablaba del concepto de "extranjería situacional" para referirse a ciertas relaciones de exclusión que pueden producirse no solo en el ámbito social sino también dentro del propio hogar. Estas ideas sobre la brecha digital como una forma más de exclusión sugiere la idea de poder actuar como mediadores para ayudar a prolongar unas voces que ya de por sí están siendo silenciadas, ayudando a visualizar su presencia en un medio de difícil acceso para ellos.
La web de Artifariti.org ya opera en este sentido. Este nuevo blog que proponemos, se entiende como una herramienta complementaria que quiere reunir y transmitir la voz directa de la gente que habita Tifariti.

PROJECT TITLE: DISTANT VOICES. HERE!

The project DISTANT VOICES. HERE! stems from a first gaze on google maps when we tried to position ourselves place (Tifariti) from a distance (Spain). To our surprise, the virtual map shows socially-in analogy with the geographic area it represents- nothing but a desert: a map deprived of any information about people and places.

Hence, we focus on the project to the (re) development of map-territory with the intention of providing it with evidence and content together with the idea of making visible the existence of a cultural identity that some claim to be erased from the map, trying to silence the plurality of voices of a whole community.

The project is conceived as a collective effort between artists and people, giving prominence to those who live on site.

The project will be divided into four parts:

1.CONSTRUCCIÓN. The flying machine.

The project proposes to build a flying machine, based on the principles of solar elevations in order to obtain recordings from the air zenith of actions be developed on land.

We opted for the development of alternative energy powered structure -solar or wind, depending on the climatic conditions and available resources.

The solar/wind structure will be designed to be able to raise a lightweight video camera that allows zenithal shots of testimonial activities taking at the side.

The recordings obtained will be edited afterwards, becoming part of the cultural heritage of Tifariti. On the other hand, these testimonies will be used to (re) produce a testimonial map of the area. (See Part 3 of the project.)

2.PRODUCCIÓN OF MESSAGES

It involves collecting the testimonies of local people as a collection of micro-stories: collecting the expression of wishes, dreams and needs of people with names, through their own spoken words. This may cover a wide spectrum of shades, from the claim to the purely recreational.

The content of the testimony cannot, nor should it, be foreseen before starting the project, with the desire to give voice and leadership to the people of Tifariti, giving up on stereotypical representations of a vision and distant.

The development of the testimony will focus on three levels:

1. Collective or individual drawings on the ground.

2. Audio Recordings: Conversations / Interviews.

3. Video Recordings: Conversations / Interviews.

In addition to the recordings mentioned, there will be photographs, whose final images will become part of cultural heritage

Tifariti.

3. DEVELOPMENT OF A TESTIMONIAL

MAP.

This part of the project is meant to (re) draw evidence-based cartography.

It seeks to provide specific cultural content-to a deserted landscape whose representation on the maps that are available on the Internet is comparable to an empty area.

The aim is to recreate the map using images taken from the flying structure.

The recorded testimonies and video documents will be located on Google Maps.

Using a tool like Google maps it is important to highlight and underline the general disinterest towards the representation of those areas that are not valued economically, culturally and politically, and thus remain invisible.

The intent of this project is to contribute to a visuality of Tifariti.

4. SCOPE OF THE PROJECT TO THE WEB: BLOG

It is important to link the project to a blog to allow viewing and sharing a daily reality for the inhabitants of Tifariti beyond the territory they inhabit. Would try to make this the periphery of that other places considered "centers of interest."

Akin to the ideas presented recently at a conference in CENDEAC Andrea Giunta (Murcia), it is as extending the notions of uprooting and forced displacement of concepts that link them to new technologies, understanding these as a new territory. Andrea Giunta spoke about the idea of "situational aliens" to refer to certain relations of exclusion that may occur not only in the social sphere but also within the home. These ideas about the digital divide as a form of exclusion suggests the idea of being able to act as mediators to help prolonging voices that already are being silenced, helping to visualize their presence in an environment easily accessible to them.

The web of Artifariti.org already operates in this regard. This new blog that we propose is intended as a complementary tool that wants to gather and transmit direct voice of the people who live Tifariti.
